A sake sommelier from La Maison du Saké will guide you through six unique categories of sake brewed in Tokyo (NATURE / MODERNE / TRADITIONNEL / TYPE EAU / TYPE RIZ / PÉTILLANT / VINTAGE), with a tasting of five carefully chosen varieties.
This is more than just a tasting — “Why do they taste so different?”
“How do the differences in rice and water affect the flavor?”
Our professional sommelier will explain these points in detail, revealing the true depth of Tokyo sake.

THE INSTRUCTOR
LY YOULIN
Born in France, Ly Youlin first encountered Japanese sake during a high school study-abroad program in Japan, where he was captivated by its depth and complexity.
In 2015, he founded La Maison du Saké, a unique venue that combines both restaurant and a cultural hub dedicated to promoting the appeal of sake to a wider audience.
Within its restaurant ERH (Eau・Riz・Homme = Water, Rice, People), he offers an innovative tasting experience where sake is paired with food without revealing brand names, allowing guests to focus purely on the essence of flavor.Guided by his belief that “sake exists in harmony with food,” Youlin continues to raise awareness and appreciation of Japanese sake throughout France, with a strong emphasis on food pairing.
In 2020, he was honored with the title of “Sake Samurai” by the Japan Sake Brewers Association Junior Council, recognizing him as an international ambassador for Japanese sake culture.
